Work on chamber house to start soon: KCCI

SRINAGAR: Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) will soon start work on chamber house at Raj Bagh after it got extension in lease for land.
Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Ajaz Ahmad Khan ordered immediate grant of extension in the lease for the land allotted to it for construction of Chamber House at Raj Bagh.
KCCI members including its president, Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, which met earlier this week here with the minister, had discussed the chamber house matter with him.
The minister, according to KCCI, has been kind to appreciate the need for having a House for KCCI.
The president expressed his gratitude for the prompt action by the minister and assured him that the construction of the House will be started immediately within a month’s time.
“Various issues were discussed while in particular the pending grant of extension in lease for the land already allotted to KCCI in the year 2000 for construction of Chamber House,” the statement issued here by the body said.
