Peaceful struggle not honoured: Malik

Srinagar: Detained chairman of JKLF Mohammad Yasin Malik on Sunday while paying tributes to July 13, 1931 martyrs said India has not honoured the peaceful struggle of Kashmir.
“India and its puppets in Kashmir are hell bent upon oppressing Kashmiris by military might. India has not honoured our peaceful struggle and hence is pushing Kashmiris to the wall. Youth are specially being targeted and humiliated,” Malik said in a statement.
“This ignorance and oppression by rulers could create such a fire that even would consume the rulers also.”
Paying tributes to the July 13 martyrs, Malik said, “The sacrifices of martyrs on July 13, 1931 mark the beginning of our resistance movement, and though some leaders robbed this nation’s achievement in 1947, in 1988 people of Jammu Kashmir started a people’s revolution and continued their mission.”
