Mirwaiz appeals traders to boycott Israeli goods

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Sunday appealed the traders’ community to boycott Israeli goods.
Mirwaiz, who was put under house arrest, appealed the traders’ community to boycott the import of Israeli goods including dates and other items. “To protest the Israeli aggression against the innocent Palestinians, the traders must boycott Israeli made goods,” he said in a statement.
Condemning the imposition of curfew and detention of leaders, Mirwaiz said, “The Kashmiri people were always ready to sacrifice their lives and property for the cause for which the July 13 martyrs laid down their lives.”
“Those parties and individuals have no right to lay flower wreaths on the graves of July 13 martyrs who used their sacrifices to build edifices of power and deserted their cause,” he said.
Mirwaiz said the July 13 martyrs offered sacrifices to end suppression and injustices, but the pro-Indian political parties are “the main cause of those sufferings and cruelty.”
