JKLF questions Alam’s journey ‘from Ghat Munshi to Crorepati’

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Friday dubbed former trade union leader and Peoples Democratic Party leader Khurshid Alam as a political renegade who used the resistance movement for personal gains.
Ridiculing Alam’s claim that JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik was an agent of the ruling National Conference, JKLF zonal president Noor Mohammad Kalwal said, “Why was he often seen at APHC offices? If he was never with pro-azadi camp then why he and his clique participated in Coordination Committee of all pro-resistance parties in 2008? We also want to remind him of his closeness with Shura-i- Jehad.”
Kalwal said Alam and his coterie were responsible for expelling Ishtiyaq Qadri from the trade union and dubbing him as an enemy of the resistance movement.
Kalwal alleged that Alam had acquired wealth disproportionate to his sources of income. “Despite being a ‘Ghat Munshi’, how did Alam become the owner of so many mills, fleets of trucks and a property worth more than 200 crores?” asked Kalwal.
He also alleged that Alam plundered truckloads of rice from Food and Supplies Department.
The senior JKLF leader cautioned people that pro-India parties had started a new trend wherein if any resistance leader issued a statement against PDP, latter says that it is a conspiracy of National Conference. “If someone issues a statement against NC they dub it as pro-PDP,” said Kalwal, adding that all those who side with pro-India parties are enemies of Kashmir.
“JKLF will leave no stone unturned in exposing the new breed of political renegades and will chase them until their nefarious designs of defeating the resistance movement of Kashmiris are defeated,” said Kalwal.
He said JKLF has accumulated all the evidences, speeches, meetings and also details of black deeds by these people and their family members and these evidences will be made public on proper time.
