Protests rock Tral after army cordons village

Srinagar: Protests rocked a village in Tral area of south Kashmir Thursday after army launched a cordoned.
Reports said army’s 42 RR cordoned off Shariefabad village and later launched searches.
“After conducting the searches the soldiers fired few warning shots in the area following some suspicious movement,” a local news agency GNS said.
Meanwhile, scores of residents of came out of their houses and staged protests against army for resorting to aerial firing.
The residents alleged that army men were posted in Arigam since morning and in the evening they opened fire near the house of a Hizbul Mujahideen militant without any provocation.
