Srinagar: Democratic Front Party and JKLF -R Wednesday supported the strike call given by pro-freedom groups on July 4.
In a statement, JKLF-R chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karatey said, “We don’t have any personal grudge against Narendra Modi but he is visiting Kashmir as the Prime Minister of that country which has enslaved the Kashmiri nation.” Dar appealed people to observe the strike on July 4 and make it a big success.
DFP general secretary Muhammad Abdullah Taari has also upheld the shutdown calls given by Hurriyat Conference (G) and Hurriyat (JK) on July 4.
Meanwhile, acting chairman of People’s League, Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh, Wednesday joined DFP.
A spokesman of the DFP said Sheikh joined the party in the presence of Taari.
