Tramboo demands release of political prisoners

Srinagar: Chief patron JKLF-R Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo on Monday castigated the authorities on arresting Mushtaq-ul-Islam and slapping PSA on him.
“Police made him suffer by lodging him at different police stations and finally slapping PSA on him. This is undemocratic and the offshoot of the state-sponsored terrorism,” Tramboo said in a statement.
He also condemned the detention of various leaders including Masrat Aalam Bhat, Ghulam Qadir, Muhammad Ayoub, Farooq Khan, and Dr. Muhammad Shafi. Tramboo termed their detention as unjust and demanded that all the political prisoners should be released.
Tramboo has termed the demand of Kashmiri Pandits as illogical and unacceptable that they should be provided with separate (protected) colonies, when they will return. “We welcome their return but separate (protected) colonies, is totally unacceptable and we will not allow such thing to happen.” He said that they can return and can live as they used to live, but the separate homeland for Pandits is unacceptable to every Kashmiri.
Tramboo, in a condolence message on the demise of wife of UJC Chief, Syed Salahuddin, prayed for the deceased soul and for the family members of the family to offer them with the courage to coup up with the loss.
Tramboo castigated government on seizing the paddy land of Ghulam Nabi Khan in Pahalgam and said that such acts are aimed to scare away the Kashmiris.
