DDC Baramulla organises seminars on drug abuse

SRINAGAR: In view of International Day against drug abuse and its illicit trafficking, police drug and de-addiction Baramulla Thursday organized two seminars.
The first seminar was held at government Higher Secondary school Pattan, Baramulla, in which staff, management and over 100 students of the school participated.
The experts comprising Dr. Mohammad Ashraf and psychologist Mohammad Ashraf Mir gave detailed lectures on drug abuse and its ill effects on the society. They also highlighted the need of the participation of the people to save the young generation from the menace, a statement said.
Among others Principal Higher Secondary, SDPO Pattan Fayaz Ahamd was also present on the occasion.
The second seminar was held at Government Higher Secondary School Gosh-i-Bough, Sumbal in Bandipora, in which over 200 students and staff of the school and other respectable people of the area participated.
Valuable lectures were delivered to the students regarding the drug abuse and its bad effects on the society, besides its preventive measures.
SDPO Sumbal Bashir Ahmad was also present on the occasion.
