Srinagar: Kamraz foundation, which is based in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, has decided to participate in upcoming Assembly polls.
“Basically, Kamraz Foundation works on social front but we feel we are not doing enough for Sopore as it has been ignored. So, we have decided to join political front and we will fight elections from Sopore constituency to solve our day to day problems,” said Irshad Rasool Kar.
He said a meeting of volunteers was held on Sunday and the decision was taken that “we will represent Sopore politically.”
“Sopore has no development. It has been neglected. The Sopore Bypass Bridge is incomplete, the roads are in bad conditions, there is no proper sanitation and lack of basic amenities,” he said, adding so to sort out these issues we have decided to stand up in elections.
