JK Bank inaugurates two BUs in South Kashmir, convenes DLRC

SRINAGAR: Reaching out to the people of far off areas in the state with world class banking services, J&K Bank opened two more Business Units at village Achan in Pulwama and Dehwathu in Anantnag.
Zonal Head of the bank Mushtaq Ahmad Mir inaugurated the new branches in presence of Cluster Head Mohammad Amin, Head BU Bashir Ahmad and Cluster Head Manzoor Ahmad Attar, Head B.U Irshad Ahmad respectively.
Mir said that following the policy of expansion the bank shall open more business units in the state particularly in the rural areas.
He added that the bank is also making all efforts to provide best customer services to all its customers irrespective of location or status.
The people of the both the areas appreciated the efforts of the bank in making the economic lives of people better and comfortable.
Meanwhile, the bank convened a District Level Review Committee meeting of district Pulwama under Chairmanship of Additional DDC Muneer Ahmad. All the district level officers, bank officials and representatives from RBI and NABARD participated in the meeting.
The meeting discussed the achievements under District Credit Plan 2013-14 for the quarter ending March, 2014.
The Credit-Deposit Ratio for the district during the period was 71percent Out of total credit of Rs 1146 crore, Rs 876 crore were disbursed to Priority sector which constitutes 76.44 percent of total advances made by the banks in the district.
The bank’s Lead District Manager M Syed Shah appraised the house about the aggregate position of deposits and advances of banks in the district which stood at Rs 1624 crore and Rs 1146 crore respectively on March 31, 2014.
Chairman DLRC appreciated the role of banks and government officers in taking the keen interest for the development of the district.
