‘War-like stores’ recovered: Army

Srinagar: Army on Wednesday claimed it busted a militant hideout in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and recovered “war-like stores”.
“Based on specific intelligence input regarding presence of a militant hideout in Tesrisar forest of Handwara, a joint operation was launched by army and police. During the search troops busted a militant hideout and recovered 1 AK-47 rifle along with two magazines, 1 9mm pistol, 2 Chinese hand grenades, 3 UBGL rounds, 7 rounds of Pika ammunition, and one I-Com set,” an army spokesman said in a statement.
