GANDERBAL: The District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of Ganderbal district was held on Wednesday with Financial institutions achieving 64 CD ratio in the district
The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, MR Ghasi.
It was said in the meeting that the banks under the District Credit Plan have disbursed a total amount of Rs 160.20 cores by the end of the fourth quarter of last facial. The achievements for the priority sector, agriculture and allied activities registered 68 percent, MSE 52 percent, Education 51 percent, housing 23 percent and others 94 percent.
Ghasi stressed upon the banks to play vital role in eradicating unemployment crisis of the district by achieving the set targets under various sectors for setting up income generating units.
He advised the financial institutions to sanction and disburse the cases strictly as per guidelines and in close co-ordination with sponsoring agencies. He also advised NABARD and other concerned agencies for timely release of subsidy and margin money.
Chief Planning Officer, Mukhtar Ahmad Bazaz, AGM RBI, R.K. Sharma, District Development Manager (DDM) NABARD, Cluster Head Ganderbal, Shafat Kitab, all District Officers of line departments and District Co-ordinators of all Banks operating in the district attended the meeting.
Ghasi directed the concerned line departments to hold joint awareness camps in far flung areas of the district to make the rural youth aware about various trainings and schemes available.
