7 retired Judges among 35 regularized

Srinagar: Registrar General of Jammu and Kashmir High Court has formally ordered regularization of 35 Judges, including seven retired, in the state.
The order followed resolution by “Full Court” in its meeting on May 14 last that District Judges promoted prior to October 27, 2009 as ad-hoc District Judges be regularized with effect from the date they assumed the charge.
However, according to the order, regularization of Bala Jyoti and Syed Tauqeer Ahmad shall be subject to the final outcome of preliminary enquiry pending against them.
Those who have been regularized include Mohammad Nazir Fida (retired), Asmat Hussain Shah (retired), Sudesh Warikoo (retired) KJS Kanwal (retired), Gopi Krishan Pandita (retired), Maharaj Krishan Hanjura, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Mohammad Shafi Khan (retired), Suresh Kumar Sharma, Rakesh Sagar Jai, Ashok Kumar Koul, Duni Chand Sagotra (retired), Rashid Ali Dar, Vinod Chaterji Koul, Mohammad Yousuf Akhoon, Sanjay Dhar, Puneet Gupta, Mohan Lal, Mohammad Akram Choudhary, Rajesh Sikri, Ramesh Kumar Wattal, Sanjeev Gupta, Kiker Singh Parihar, Aijaz Ahmad Mir, Abdul Rashid Malik, Inder Singh, Bala Jyoti, Subhah Chander Gupta, Shujat Ali Khan, Mohammad Yousuf Wani, Sanjay Parihar, Mohammad Ali Khan, Pawan Dev Kotwal, Nighat Sultana and Syed Tauqeer Ahmad.
