Ghalib bowls BCC to semis

DODA: Ghalib’s four wicket haul helped Banaras Cricket Club (BCC) qualify to the semi-finals of the 10th All India Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2014, defeating Andhra Pradesh Cricket Club(APCC) by 25 runs in the last eight stage game played at Sports Stadium Doda.
The game was a low scoring thriller with APCC failing to chase the small target of 125.
APCC failed to forge partnerships as Ghalib rattled their batting order claiming a four-for. APCC were bundled out for 100 in 19.5 overs.
Vijay with 28 and Murali with27 runs were top scorers for the APCC.
Earlier, Banaras Cricket Club (BCC) made 125 runs losing nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Kuldeep (21) and Galib with 20 runs were the successful batsmen for the BCC.
Vijay chipped in with two wickets for the APCC.
Kuldeep of BCC was declared man of the match.
The tournament is organised by Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) Doda and sponsored by J&K Bank, Bajaj Allianz and Rashtriya Rifles Rajput unit Doda.
