Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Thursdayordered sealing of a hotel which is said to be under construction without any formal permission in Tangmarg area of Baramulla district.
The direction was issued by a division bench of Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar while hearing a complaint filed through advocate Touheed Ahmad.
The complaint by referring to the photographs, bench observed, discloses that construction of the hotel at Tangmarg is in progress without any permission from any authority.
“(Advocate Mohsin) Qadri (representing Tourism Department) shall depute a responsible officer to find the status of construction, and if such activity is going, then direction be issued to stop it,” the court said, directing that the structure has to be sealed by State Pollution Control Board with the help of concerned Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police.
“Reply shall be filed by next date of hearing,” the court added.
