Yasin, Geelani condemn Baramulla man’s ‘torture’ by Army

Srinagar: JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik on Wednesday condemned the “third degree torture” of a Baramulla man by Army.
In a statement, Malik while condemning the “third degree torture, beating and burning” of Afsar Khan “is the story of every Kashmiri household as there is no Kashmiri who has not been tortured, humiliated and oppressed by Indian forces.”
“This torture and oppressive behavior is a glaring example of Nazi-type thinking of Indian state, and we strongly condemn this oppressive attitude and state terrorism,” Malik said.
Hurriyat Conference(G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani alleged that the man had been summoned to an army camp and subjected to custodial torture.
He appealed Amnesty International and other human rights organizations to investigate such “worst kinds of human rights violations being committed against Kashmiris.”
