Banned herbs seized in Baramulla

Baramulla: The personnel of Forest Protection Force (FPF) Wednesday seized a large quantity of banned herbs in the main town of this north Kashmir district.
A team of FPF officials led by Inspector Manmeet Singh intercepted a truck (JK05A/6867) at Khanpora Bridge in the wee hours today and recovered at least 208 kilogram of banned herbs known popularly as Tilpatri, official sources told Kashmir Reader Wednesday. The officials instantly arrested the truck driver identified as Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Malla and handed him over him to the police
The smuggling of the banned drugs has been continuing unabated despite large recoveries made by FPF and police in the past.
