EDB organizes day-long ‘Orientation Programme’ for new recruits

SRINAGAR: A day long ‘Orientation Programme’ was organized by Ellaqaui Dehati Bank (EDB) for its newly recruited and promoted staff in order to upgrade the skills for human resources.
A statement issued here by the bank said that the bank has a plan to launch massive recruitment drive to infuse fresh blood in the organization and to expand its network.
The programme was inaugurated by D K Kapila Deputy General Manager NABARD. Chairman of EDB, A K Razdan said he expected his confidence in the newly recruited staff and the various schemes framed by the bank have to be implemented by the field staff who should work will zeal and confidence.
Razdan appraised the participants about the business of the bank and the vast opportunities available in the market for business growth.
“There are business pockets which need to be explored for the economic development of the people and that of the State” Razdan said.
Speaking on the occasion Kapila stressed up on the need for keeping close liaison with the customers.
He said that his first-hand experience in the remote areas of the state is not encouraging as the banks have not been able to penetrate in those areas.
He said banks have a very good opportunity to reach to the people in those areas and made them a part of ‘shining State’.
He gave important tips to the participants for business and career growth.
The programme was organised at the Bank’s Learning Centre Wazir Bagh and coordinated by M L Bhat General Manager.
