Kashmiri boy bags award in Dubai

Srinagar: A Kashmiri teenager has been conferred the ‘Top 16th High School Student’ of the World Award in Dubai.
Emaad, 17, received the award at the 18th Felicitation Ceremony of the Global Student Entrepreneurs held at Dubai Conference Centre. Emaad was also presented with an Apple MacBook Air and luxury travel sponsorship to Europe, according to a local news agency CNS.
Speaking at the event, Emaad said that he believes that time has come “when we realize and recognize the power and ideology of youth, so that they are able to lead the world tomorrow.”
Emaad is an alumnus of Burn Hall School Srinagar who moved to New Delhi for his high school studies in 2008. In the past also Emaad has won laurels in different parts of the world like United States of America, Germany and New Zealand.
In a statement issued by the management of MREIS led by Dr Prashant Bhalla, Chancellor and Chairman said that the entire Manav Rachna family joins in celebrating the outstanding performance of Emaad at various International Forums. “He has not only made the school proud, but has also made our country proud. We are extremely proud of having a young aged intellectual like Emaad in our midst. Our endeavor to support him shall always continue,” he said.
Emaad, a grade XI student of Manav Rachna International School, Gurgaon, is son of a banker Muzaffar Iqbal Makhdoomi.
