SRINAGAR: Satya Group of Institutions (SGI) on Saturday launched ‘Hamari Beti Hamari Shaan” special scholarship scheme for the girls here.
SGI, approved by AICTE and affiliated to MD University is a premiere institution in Delhi NCR Region with its permanent office at Srinagar operational for the last 3 years.
Addressing a press conference the SGI said the management’s objective and the vision behind this scholarship scheme is based on the report by Earnest and Young and FICCI, Planning Commission (Govt Of India) on ‘Higher Education in India: 12th Five Year Plan (2012-17).”
Under the special scholarship scheme, they said, SGI will waive 100% fee every year for first 100 girls from pan India for all its courses. Generally, every state has a quota of 10 such admissions, however, for J&K it will be more than this.
“There is an additional advantage for the J&K students, as SGI is an approved institution by AICTE, students have been awarded special scholarships. Many students from SGI have benefitted through this scholarship scheme,” they added.
