SRINAGAR: A delegation of Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation has met Commissioner, Commercial Taxes Department,(CTD) Kifayat Hussain Rizvi and apprised him of various issues faced by the traders while dealing with the department.
The delegation asked the commissioner to check the goods imported to the valley are checked at two tool collection centers, including Lakhanpur and later Lower Munda asking him to streamline the procedure..
The delegation that was led by president KTMF, Muhammad Yaseen Khan also suggested that a more cordial relationship between the traders and CTD officials need to be created so that it will benefit both.
According to KTMF, Rizvi assured them that the department is upgrading its IT wing and soon the various forms for filing of returns and other purposes will be available to the traders on the department website.
He said that the department is trying to make the process of filing of tax returns more hassle free for traders and to achieve this they have taken several steps.
The meeting from KTMF was also attended by Muhammad Aslam Matoo, Kursheed Ahamd Shah and Farhan Kitaba.
