‘Warlike stores’ recovered: Army

Srinagar: Army on Sunday claimed it recovered large quantity of ‘warlike stores’ including arms and ammunition in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
In a statement here, an army spokesman said: “On specific intelligence input of presence of a hideout in Hafruda forest area of Bod Bhangas in Nowgam, a joint operation was launched by an army unit and JK Police. After search of the area, 1 AK rifle,616 rounds of ammunition, 5 pistols with 25 rounds, 15 hand grenades, 1 radioset, 1 binocular, 1 bag and large quantity of rations were recovered. The recovery is bound to further dent the morale of militants.”
