ISC ANNUAL ROAD RACE

SRINAGAR: Hamid Aziz of B.Com 2nd year student continued on his winning show in racing circuit, with latest of his triumphs being in the  Annual Road Race organized by Islamia College of Science and Commerce on Saturday.
The 6.2 km race which was flagged off by the Principal Prof (Dr) Mohammad Aslam Baba, saw  athletes run their way through  Fore Shore Road – Duck Park – Hazratbal Zakura Crossing before reaching the finishing line at Naseem Bagh Park, Hazratbal Srinagar
Aziz covered the 6.2 km distance in 21:56:29 minutes followed by, Anas Younis of B.Sc 1st year who clocked 24:00:38 minutes. Mohammad Ishaq had to contend with the third spot.
According to the college press statement, at least 95 male athletes of the college took part in the event.
Aziz is having superb start to the season, pocketing half marathon held at Jammu early this year before bagging second spot in the recently held Sheher-e-Khaas Run.
Speaking on the concluding ceremony,   Prof Baba stressed upon the students to take part in the sports activities in and outside the college.
The race was organized by Physical Education Department of Islamia College of Science and Commerce.
