Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested three employees of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) for committing fraud in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Quoting police sources, a local news agency CNS reported that acting on information that some CAPD employees in Shiekpora Budgam were stealing sugar from the granary and using a packing machine to sell it in the black market. “We raided the CAPD granary located at Shiekhpora Budgam and caught three employees red- handed while packing the stolen sugar. We recovered 175 quintals of sugar from them. The trio is in police custody and a formal case has been registered against them,” a police official said.
