Tramboo condemns detention of pro-freedom leaders

Srinagar: Chief patron JKLF-R, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, while condemning the continued detention of several pro-freedom leaders, on Wednesday said, “We are unable to see this kind of example throughout the world where the political opponents, who refuse to accept what the ruling class have to say and with the result they are subjected to the harsh treatment and the prolonged detention.”
“It is only Kashmir where such inhuman behavior of the ruling class can be seen,” Tramboo said in a statement. He condemned the continuous detention of Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Masarat Alam Bhat, Peer Inayatullah, Mir Waseem and various other pro-freedom leaders, and has termed it as the “brutal form of state sponsored terrorism.”
He also condemned the arrest campaign launched across the length and breadth of the Valley and said that it is the state police who indulged in disrupting the peace in Valley and such actions will yield nothing.
Tramboo said that this arrest campaign has been launched to create the fear psychosis into the minds of youths of the Valley and with the result the younger lot is getting affected mentally, with every passing day.
Tramboo also condemned the action of Jammu Development Authority (JDA), wherein they demolished various houses in Jammu and left almost 100 families homeless.
