Jammu: Class 12 results out, girls outshine boys

JAMMU: Girls have outshone boys once again in the Class 12 results with Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mubarakh Mandi, alone bagging eighteen positions in different subjects likes Science, Commerce, Home Science and Arts .
Around 35190 candidates (18958 boys and 16232 girls) had appeared in High Secondary Part-II (12th class) Annual examination of Jammu Province , out of which 18581 candidates qualified . The total pass percentage is 52.80 per cent(boys 47.86 per cent and girls 58.57 per cent.)
The Principal of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mubarakh Mandi, Shashi Prabha Thappa, was so elated by the performance of her students that she declared May 13 as a holiday
A student of Dogra Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar has secured the Ist position in Science stream by scoring 490 marks out of 500.
