CRPF organises blood donation camp

Srinagar: The 54th and 144th battalions of CRPF, in collaboration with SMHS Hospital, on Tuesday organised a blood donation camp at Nishat here.
The camp was attended by a large contingent of men from both the battalions, a CRPF handout said.
P.K. Singh, IGP, CRPF Srinagar sector was the chief guest on this occasion. More than 65 CRPF personnel voluntarily donated the blood, the handout said.
The Commandant of the 54 BN, SCS Rawat thanked the doctors’ team of SMHS Hospital for its support in organizing the camp.
The SMHS team headed by Dr. Ruksana said the hospital’s blood bank is facing shortage of blood and appreciated the efforts of CRPF. She said the blood will be given to the needy persons.
