Man held with arms and ammunition: Army

Srinagar: Army Sunday claimed to have apprehended a suspected militant and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from him in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
The suspected militant-Abdul Majid Dar – was a resident of village Banpura, an army spokesman said.
Four rifles, 550 gm gunpowder and 100 gm pellets besides components used for manufacturing of weapons were recovered, the spokesman said.
Meanwhile, Army troops have recovered arms, ammunition and explosive materials including two AK series rifles from the possession of two infiltrating militants it claimed were killed in an encounter yesterday along LoC in Poonch district.
During search of the Kalsia area after conclusion of encounter, 2 AK series rifles, 240 rounds, 8 magazines of AK rifle, one UBGL, 2 UBGL grenades, 3 hand grenades, 1 Claymore mine, 2 detonators, 1 packet explosives, 3 rucksack and one handy cam, an army spokesman said.
