Students protest against college authorities in Tangmarg

Baramulla: Scores of 1st year students of Degree college Tangmarg Saturday staged protest against the college authorities.
Shouting slogans, the students alleged that college authorities have failed 250 students in internals exams without any reason.
Principal of the college Prof. Fayaz Ahmad Mir told reporters there that it was due to some technical fault.
“It is a technical fault. We had kept the marks for each student out of 25 maximum marks and students were to obtain minimum marks out of it which they did but under university norms, the maximum marks for internals is out of 50,” he said, adding, “Since we had been provided norms for the same by KU that is why students have been shown to have failed in internals”.
Prof Fayaz said that the issue has been taken up with Registrar of the Kashmir University.
“The problem will be solved within couple of days,” he added.
