Srinagar: Nine structures, including kothars and a house, were damaged in separate fire incidents in the Kashmir valley, police said Saturday.
Fire broke out in village Shalgund in the frontier district of Kupwara. However, before the fire tenders could reach there, fire spread to nearby structures, reducing to ashes three kothars, three cowsheds, a store and a firewood shed. However, no one was injured, a police spokesman said, adding the cause of fire was not known.
A residential house and other household goods were gutted in a fire incident at Pandach on the city outskirts. No one was injured in the incident.
