JK chess team to participate in national chess ch’ship

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir chess team is going to participate in 52nd National Challengers Chess Championship to be held at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh.
Spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir State Chess Association in a statement said the State chess team is going to participate in 52nd National Challengers (National “B”) Chess Championship 2014 starting from May 9 to 19.
The team comprises of four players and accompanying by a manager.
Sumit Grover and Meenal Gupta from Jammu district, Shahid ul Mushtaq from district Shopain and Amir Yousuf Bhat from Srinagar are players in J&K chess team.
These players had participated in State Senior Chess Tournament which was held in Jammu in the month of February 2014.
