DSEK suspends over dozen officials for absence

Srinagar: The Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Mir Tariq Ali, on Wednesday conducted surprise visit of various schools and offices of Srinagar district and ordered immediate suspension of more than a dozen absentee officials.
According to an official handout, the DSEK inspected Boys High School Sonwar, GHSS Sonwar, Boys HSS Shalimar, GHSS Khanyar, GMS Saderbal Hazratbal and BHSS Hazratbal.
He also visited Zonal Education office Rainawari and “took a serious note of mismanagement and absenteeism in the office. Director ordered the immediate suspension of more than a dozen erring officials,” the handout said.
The DSEK has impressed upon the field officers particularly Chief Education Officers to frequently visit the schools and subordinate offices to check the attendance and work culture of the officials.
“No laxity in discharging legitimate duties by the officials would be tolerated,” the handout added.
