SRINAGAR: Hatishah Football Club Sopore and Wullar Football Club Sopore easily won their matches on Tuesday in the 3rd Rashid Memorial 7-A Side State football Championship played at Khushall Sports Stadium Sopore.
In the first match Hatishah FC had better off Aadipora FC by 2-0 goals. Hatishah FC played attacking football from the word go and had complete domination over Aadipora FC, taking the lead in the 12th minute of the first half.
In the second half, Aadipora FC made several attempts to score an equalizer but strong defence of Hatishah FC thwarted their moves everytime they had got inkling of scoring one.
In the dying moments of the game Hatishah FC scored another goal and took away game from their opponents.The score-line remained 2-0 when the final whistle blew.
Second match of the day was played between Wullar Sopore and Traders Football Club Sopore in which former thrashed latter 4-0.
The match was a lopsided affair with Wullar FC taking lead in the 10th minute of first half.
The teams went into break with Wullar FC infront by one goal.
In the second half Wullar FC were in cracking form with goals coming thick and fast. Three of them were scored to make it 4-0 in Wullar FC’s favour.
The tournament is being organized by Jammu and Kashmir 7-A Side Soccer Association and sponsored by J&K Sports Development Association.
