ANANTNAG: A ten-day long free eye camp organised by Block medical Officer, Achabal, concluded Monday. During the camp which was organised at Primary Health Center Achabal under a national scheme ‘Control of blindness’ at least 3000 patients were examined free of cost.
Besides 130 cataract operations were conducted at the camp by a team of eye specialists, Dr Asmat and Dr Akifa. BMO, Achabal, Dr Ashfaq Hassan said that thousands of patients benefited from the camp. “Not only the patients from district Anantnag but also from other districts including Srinagar visited the camp for treatment. He thanked the director health services, Dr Saleem-ul-Rehman for his efforts in organising the camp in the area.
