KTF concerned over govt failure to act against substandard drug supply

SRINAGAR: Kashmir Traders Federation (KTF) on Monday criticised the government for its failure in acting against the people involved in supplying sub-standard drugs to the Valley.
“The government has not taken concrete steps to deliver justice and book the culprits involved in last years’ sub-standardised drug scam. We condemn the government’s inability to deliver justice to the people of Kashmir,”   the statement of the federation said.
The statement also said that the federation feels that “genocide of Kashmir’s is being done by supplying sub-standard drugs to valley hospitals, while the culprits roam freely.”
According to statement, Ajaz Shahdhar, Publicity Secretary of the federation also appealed the government to look into the problems of shopkeepers affected with the construction of fly-over from Jehangir Chowk to Rambagh area.
Shahdhar also expressed concern about the malfunctioning of street lights in Srinagar city that causes inconvenience to the public and affect the trade activity.
