JU’s VC visits Bhaderwah campus, inaugurates nursery school

Doda: After concluding his one-day visit of Kishtwar campus of Jammu University, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar on Friday arrived at Bhaderwah and visited Bhaderwah campus.
He took stock of ongoing developmental in the campus premises and also interacted with teaching faculty and students on the occasion. The VC was accompanied by Registrar Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar, Special Secretary to VC, Jai Kumar Sharma, Coordinator Campuses Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, HOD Geography JU Prof Anu Radha, Chairman WWF Dr C M Sethi, Rector Kishtwar Campus Dr Shoaib Anayat Malik, Dr Parkash Anthal, CEO BDA Angraz Singh Rana, Prof G M Bhat, Rector Bhaderwah campus, DDC Doda Mubrak Singh and others.
The Rector Bhaderwah campus Prof G M Bhat briefed the VC about the construction work going on in Bhaderwah campus and also informed him about the academic activities going on. Bhat said that students are given quality education at the campus as courses which are being taught at Bhaderwah Campus are highly job-oriented.
Prof Ishar said that Bhaderwah campus is the only campus which is not only accelerating in the academics but also organizing seminars/ conferences and co-curricular activities and has become a hub of cultural activities in whole Chenab valley.
VC JU also attended a regional seminar in the campus as a chief guest on the topic Environment implications in Mountain Ecosystem organised by institute of Mountain Environment. He also inaugurated newly established nursery school in the campus and assured that new courses will be opened at Bhaderwah campus and added that in near future full fledge university campus will be make functional in Bhaderwah.
Earlier, Prof Bhat presented a brief profile of the campus. JU Register Prof Manoj Dhar informed that university has already taken up the matter with the state government regarding permanent teaching and non-teaching position and positive response is expected very soon.
