JEHANGIR CHOWK-RAMBAGH FLYOVER: Second phase of diversion from May 1

SRINAGAR: According to Superintendent of Police Traffic, City Srinagar, only limited number of 407 passenger vehicles bound to Budgam and adjacent areas will be allowed to travel through Ram Bagh route.
“Traffic Police City Srinagar has issued permission to limited number of 407 passenger vehicles which they have to display on the front windshield ,” an official spokesman said.
“As limited number of vehicles will be available in Jehangir Chowk for Budgam, Chadoora, Natipora, Rangreth, Nowgam, Kanipora and Chrar-i-Sharief etc. The passengers can avail service for such routes from Batmaloo from May 1,” the spokesman said.
Sumos not registered to any stand in Srinagar City will also be diverted through Bye Pass to Tengpora to reach Batmaloo.
“These measures are being taken to decongest the areas falling in and around the Flyover Corridor. These diversions are bound to cause inconvenience to passengers travelling towards Budgam and adjoining areas,” the spokesman said.
