JKSM chairman visits Bijbehara

SRINAGAR: Senior Hurriyat Conference (M) leader and Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat has paid glowing tributes to Abdul Haq Malik of Arwani, Bijbehara, who died in an encounter alongwith two more militants in Shopian on Friday.
Bhat accompanied by party leaders including Zulfiqar Hamid, Farooq Ahmed, Javed Rather, Javed Sofi and Fayaz Ahmed visited Arwani on Sunday to pay tributes to Malik and express solidarity with the bereaved family, according to a statement.
Addressing a gathering, Bhat condemned “defacing of body of Abdul Haq after he achieve martyrdom and said that no religion permits to deface the dead body of any one. He also congratulated the people of South Kashmir for boycotting and rejecting the sham polls and said that the people of the area have ever since supported the ongoing freedom movement by laying down their precious lives,” the statement said.
“Shaheed Haq, Asif Wani, Shabir Ahmed and other martyrs are sacrificing their lives for future of Kashmiris new generation as they don’t deserve to be the slaves of India. For securing the goal which is freedom, our youth are sacrificing their lives; hence the ongoing movement and mission of martyrs will be taken to its logical conclusion,” Bhat said.
He said that over 100 youth of Arwani have given their lives for the movement.
