Army Commander pays tribute to slain soldiers

SRINAGAR: A special wreath laying ceremony was held at New Delhi on Sunday, wherein Lt Gen Sanjiv Chachra, the Northern Army Commander, paid rich tributes to Major Mukund Vardarajan and Sepoy Vikram Singh, who were killed in an encounter with militants in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
Prior to lifting of bodies of the slain soldiers from Srinagar, a wreath laying ceremony was organised at BB Cantt Srinagar where Major General JS Cheema, VSM laid the wreath on behalf of all ranks of the Chinar Corps.
