Research Methodology workshop concludes at KU’s MERC

Srinagar: A 3-day workshop on Research Methodology concluded Friday at Media Education Research Centre (MERC), University of Kashmir.
The workshop attended by research scholars, students and faculty brought together various social scientists and academicians for deliberations over the concepts and theories of research methodology.
The workshop aimed at creating a scientific orientation among the participants about different tools and techniques of social science research and linking them with their ongoing research.
The resource persons included Prof. M. Ashraf Wani, Department of History, Prof. Noor Ahmad Baba, Department of Political Science, Prof. Gul Mohammadd Wani, Institute of Kashmir Studies, Prof. M. Sultan Bhat, Department of Geography & Regional Development, Prof. A.M Baba, Allama Iqbal Library, Prof. Aquil Ahmad, Department of Statistics, Dr. Ishtiyaq Hussain, The Business School, Dr. Sameer Gul, Department of Library & Information Science, and Elizabeth Maryam, Department of Economics, University of Kashmir.
The Coordinator, MERC, Faruq Masudi in his concluding remarks said, “Besides teaching, it is essential to strengthen the research practices at MERC and this workshop is the beginning in this direction.”
