India-China investment meet held in Shanghai

BEIJING: Top Chinese businesses took part in the “India-China Business and Investment Forum” organised in Shanghai to discuss opportunities for investment in India for Chinese companies.
The forum was organised by the Indian Consulate in Shanghai in association with the Council of the World’s Investment Summit held in Shanghai yesterday.
About 80 participants drawn from various business sectors, representatives of Chinese chambers of commerce and industry and potential investors in and around Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang attended the Investment Forum, a press release from Shanghai Consulate said Wednesday.
A delegation from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) led by Sunil Porwal, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Maharashtra government participated in the seminar.
