Kashmiris should wake up to preserve environment: Renzu

Srinagar: While presiding over the environment-oriented marathon race from Naseem Bagh to Nishat Garden, in which students of SSM College and SSM School participated, Khwaja Farooq Renzushah, chairman of Kashmir Society, complimented the participants for their consciousness about environment.
He was accompanied by GN Parray chairman of SSM Group of Educational Institutions Hyderpora, Mohammad Yousuf Chapri, an environmentalist, staff of SSM College and scores of students of SSM School and College. The marathon was dedicated for environmental consciousness of the people of Kashmir.
“While speaking to the students and environmental connected youths, Khwaja Farooq Renzushah said that time has come when important steps are required to be taken to protect the degrading environment of the Valley,” a statement said.
On the occasion, awards were given to the students by Chief Guest, Renzushah. The awardees included Rohit Choudary, Vikas Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Saqib Mir, Junaid Javiad, Afreen, Iqra Wani, Injella, Imra, Sahiba Rehman, Zainul, Rahib, Ifran Khan, Sahil, Zubair, Suzain, Humaira, and Zeenat.
The students who were awarded for academic excellence during 2013 are: Saood Mir, Muskaan, Zakariya Tariq, tabish, Owais, Rahila, Jannat, Rohilla, Samreen, Jahanara, Asma, Swaid, Haroon, Afnan bin Usman and Umi Saleeta. From Non-Med/Medical stream: Mahakshan, Faisal, Salman, Zeerak and Amar Preet Singh. From Arts stream: Nawsheen, Iyka Hussain and Elham Jan. From Commerce stream: Tabish, Navreen and Afshana. For Sports achievements in 2013: Manan Qadir, Sanna Khalid, Waniza, Sidrat, Jumaid-ul-Islam, Juriara, and Sallah-u-Din.
