KU to observe Iqbal Day on April 22

Srinagar: To commemorate Allama Iqbal’s 76th death anniversary, Iqbal Institute of Culture and Philosophy, University of Kashmir, is organizing ‘Iqbal Day’ on Tuesday, April 22  at KU’s Ibn-i-Khuldoon auditorium.
Well-known expert on Iqbaliyaat, Prof GR Malik shall deliver an extension lecture on the occasion whereas Dean Faculty of Arts KU Prof BA Nehvi shall preside over the session.
Director Iqbal Institute of Culture and Philosophy Prof Taskeena Fazil said that Iqbal’s decades old poetry and teachings “show how the youth of 21st century shall acclimatize  themselves with the changing dynamics of the world and his teachings are also relevant even today and inculcate the moral and spiritual values among the youth.”
She said that the one day program will be hugely beneficial for the students, scholars and faculty engaged with the study on the life and teachings of Allama Iqbal.
