Doda: Six people, including three women, were killed and six others injured on Saturday when a vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Kishtwar district of Jammu region.
The Tata Sumo with 12 persons on board was on its way from Himachal Pradesh to Doda when the accident happened in Drabshalla belt, police said.
Six people were killed on the spot and six others injured in the accident, they said.
The injured were hospitalised.
The dead reportedly hailed from Himachal Pradesh. They included three women, a police officer told Kashmir Reader.
Meanwhile, two persons were killed on Doda-Kishtwar-Batote highway in the wee hours Saturday due to landslides.
Reports said the duo, a man and his daughter 5-year-old daughter from Uttar Pradesh state, was killed after landslides hit their kacha house.
Abdul Rehman and his daughter Sakoora Rehman, of Bassti, UP, came under boulders near their house. They died on the spot and were later buried in Pul Doda.
