Srinagar: Green Valley School (GVS) Srinagar hosted a 6-member European delegation comprising academicians and experts in the field of education, particularly in the pedagogic skills.
The members of the delegation, sponsored by the European Union, belonged to Italy and Poland. Prof. Dr. Nissar Ali, Advisor to J&K government on economic matters and Higher Education, accompanied the delegation.
According to a GVS handout, the European academicians had an interaction with the school management, faculty and students. “They went around classes and keenly observed the teaching–learning process, audio-visual aids and other tools and gadgets employed by teachers in teaching and demonstrating,” the handout said.
It said the visitors also went around various labs–computer, chemistry, physics and bio-sciences and interacted with students busy in conducting practical. At the end they had an inter-active session with a select group of ‘Prefects and Captains’ and student representatives and responded to the queries and questions raised by student leaders.
“The delegation seemed highly satisfied with the teaching-learning process in the school and were all praise for the school management/administration,” the handout added.
