Hurriyat (G) delegation visits Ahmad Nagar

Srinagar: On the direction of chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani, a delegation led by Raja Meraj-ud-Din and Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi, on Tuesday visited Ahmad Nagar locality of Soura and expressed their sympathy with the families affected during the gunbattle on Monday.
According to a statement, the Hurriyat leaders appealed the people that they should provide every possible help to the affected families. The Hurriyat leaders said that the SOG and army are “destroying the property of the civil population under the vengeance policy and they are being punished for the presence of mujahedeen in their houses.”
Meanwhile under the election boycott campaign, a delegation led by Hurriyat leader Farooq Gutapori visited Batamaloo areas and distributed posters among the people. While appealing people for the complete election boycott, the Hurriyat leaders said that whoever will participate in the “government-sponsored election drama, he will commit an act of treason and a sinful act in the light of Islam.”
Hurriyat leaders also said that Imam Hussain has set a bright example by offering his head but did not vote Yazeed.
