‘NC fulfilled promises, PDP wasted six years’

Srinagar: National Conference leader Dr Mustafa Kamal Monday said that the Omar Abdullah led NC-Congress coalition had fulfilled its promises of equitable development and good governance while opposition Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) had “wasted six precious years of J&K by spending the first three years of its tenure in arrogance, drama and confrontation with its coalition partner and then spending the remaining three years in conspiring against Ghulam Nabi Azad.”
“PDP’s betrayal and consequent volte-face in 2008 after transferring the land to the shrine board was a prime example of PDP’s irresponsibility and hypocrisy. They first transferred land to the Shrine Board and then ran away from the consequences and plunged the State into uncertainty and chaos,” Kamal said while addressing workers’ meet at Hazratbal.

Meanwhile, according to a statement, PDP Srinagar District Coordinator Adil Jan joined National Conference today along with hundreds of his supporters at NC Headquarters at Nawa-e-Subh Complex in Srinagar.
“Welcoming Adil and his supporters to National Conference, NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani said that National Conference’s popularity in Srinagar was historic and reflected the love and affection that people of Srinagar have for their own party,” the statement said.
