SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Bank ATM network in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district went up to 49 when it pressed an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) into public service at Larnoo village in the district.
The machine was inaugurated by the Vice President and Zonal Head of the bank for South Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir in presence of Cluster Head Tasaduq Ahmad Dar and Branch Head Altaf Husain Wani.
According to the bank statement the village is one of the remotest in the district with the bank focusing on reaching to the remotest areas.
While speaking at the inaugural function Mushtaq Ahmad Mir highlighted the efforts of the bank in reaching to remote areas with world class banking service. He impressed upon the audience to avail the benefits of various loan schemes particularly Kissan Credit Card scheme.
The villagers appreciated the role of the bank in bringing about socio economic development in the remote rural areas by opening new business units and also thanked the bank for commissioning ATM.
A large number of people including bank customers participated in the meet.
