Shah placed under house arrest

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir (HCJK) leader Shabir Ahmad Shah was Wednesday put under house arrest by a large contingent of police force and was not allowed to visit Pulwama. As per program, he was scheduled to address people in various areas of Pulwama with regards to election boycott.
However, Muslim League chairman, Mushtaq ul Islam, JKLF (R) chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar, Muslim Conference chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar, Islamic Political Party chairman Muhammad Yusuf Naqash and dozens of activists including Ghulam Muhammad Maqdam, Abdul Rashid Bhat, Wajhat Qureshi, Bilal Ahmad Shah, Fayaz Ahmad Kaloo, Aijaz Ahmad Mir and Haroon, succeeded in reaching Pulwama where they addressed people and appealed people to stay away elections.
As per last reports, the Hurriyat leaders and activists were detained while returning from Pulwama .
