JKLF’s anti-poll campaign continues

Srinagar: Terming elections as “fraud to hoodwink the international community,” Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) continued its anti-election campaign in various areas.
“The JKLF leaders and activists visited several localities including Mehjoor Nagar, Kursu, Gadhanjipora and apprised the people of negative effects of the sham polls,” a JKLF statement issued here said.
“They appealed people to completely boycott the Indian election drama to convey a message to the world that the Kashmiris would accept nothing short of right to self-determination,” the statement said.
Elections were a fraud and had nothing to do with the genuine aspirations of the Kashmiri people, the leaders said. They also distributed pamphlets and other printed matter among people in different areas of Srinagar
“The JKLF leaders informed the people about the hollow slogans of the pro-India politicians and urged them not to participate in the polls and prove to the world community that the people of Kashmir were not iterated in the sham polls,” the statement said.
